Weekly Update - Josh Henry


Week 8:

  • Received all of the finished graphics
  • Content was put into the website
  • Finished all the database queries, login and profile pages working correctly
  • Worked more on the documentation
  • Website is now up to a good standard and now finished

- Merge Project's
-Characters are saved local to reduce server load
- Added support for tool tips for character creation that can later be filled with more lore based spell descriptions and other data.

Website progress

I just finished the navigation on the website and it all works well. Also the layout of the site is pretty much finished, although some of the graphics are going to be changed.


You can logon, create new users and log out at the moment and more features will be done soon.

Let me know if you guys want anything changed or have any suggestions

Individual Progress report


Josh Henry blog progress reports
  • Week 1:
    • Class organized team. 
    • I’m in a group Called Awesome Inc.
    • Set up the blog’s
    • Set the teams task list
  • Week 2: 
    • Started design on the first website, Teppei and Michael came up with the design for me
    • Luiz and Alistair started on the documents
    • Sean started on getting video footage of the game
  • Week 3:
    •  First set of graphics are done and inserted into the website.
    • Researched ways of implementing a database into the website
  • Week 4:
    •  Came to the conclusion that I needed a .php site so a complete restart of the website was in order
    • Read tutorials on starting a database driven website
  • Week 5:
    •  Continued working on version 2 of the website
    • Started supporting documents
  • Week 6:
    •  Transferred the website to a virtual machine with the database so I could work on the site at Tafe
    • Ran into some errors and restarted the website progressed quite far with it
    • Users can now  create users, login with those users, log out, and download the game after logging in
  • Week 7: (website version 3.0)
    •  Put all of my blog posts into one document for easier organization.
    • Requested more graphics from the multimedia students.
    • We be receiving final graphics next week
    • Worked on the layout of the website. should be final design now.

Change History:
  • The Grim wood website is in development in the time we have added links to the forums and database.
  • Law is finished
Future plans:
  • Edit Gameplay videos
  • Get database server debugged and up and running.
  • Website Functioning 100%: IE: Links up and running.
  • Add screenshots into the Website
